President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon hosted the King of Tooro, Omukama Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I and several other cultural leaders from across Uganda at State House Entebbe in what was also described as the Cultural Leaders Conference.
Omukama Nyabongo,was received at State House by Lieutenant General Henry Tumukunde, the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development and the Statement of Gender and Culture Hon.Mary Kamuli Kuteesa Abwooli.
In a post on the social media platform X, the President said he looked forward to fruitful discussions on how cultural institutions can promote unity, preserve heritage and contribute to Uganda’s development.
The post included several photos from the meeting and by the time of reporting this news, the outcomes of the discussions had not been released.
