Banyatereza sisters are mourning the death of their second African Superior, Sr. Maama Rose Abwooli.
In a notice announcement made yesterday evening, the Fort Portal based Banyatereza sisters congregation, sadly announced the demise of Rev.Sr. Maama Rose Tindigwihura Abwooli, who passed away on February 17, evening hours at Rubaga convent.
Sr Tindigwihura, reportedly served as the superior General Banyatereza from 1974 to 1980.
The congregation communication which did not reveal details pertaining the death of Sr Rose, included that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
Earlier during Ash Wednesday Mass at Virika Cathedral, Bishop Robert K Muhiirwa Akiiki conveyed his deep condolences to the Banyatereza, saying it’s sad to loose such a key figure.
