Christians of St. John’s Cathedral in Fort Portal City yesterday gathered to commemorate Holy Thursday. The Vicar, Rev. Canon Peluce Kajumba, led the service with a call to reflect on the preciousness of Jesus’ blood, shed for humanity’s salvation
During the service, Rev. Kajumba emphasized the significance of identifying with the blood of Jesus, urging the congregation to recognize its value in their lives. She said that blood of Jesus is their redemption, hope, and future.
Rev. Kajumba also urged Christians to embrace humility before God emphasizing the importance of surrendering one’s pride and ego, just as Jesus did on the eve of his crucifixion.
She reminded the congregation that Jesus, the Son of God, washed the feet of his disciples, setting an example of servant leadership.
She said they must come to God with a heart of humility, acknowledging their weaknesses and limitations stressed.
Meanwhile, Rev. Canon. Robert Abigaba the Dean St. John’s Cathedral urged Christians to respect the way of the cross a significant observance commemorating Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and victory over death
