The Kabarole District Chairperson, Hon. Kimome Ruben, on Thursday hosted officials from WaterAid Uganda to discuss strategies aimed at improving access to safe and reliable water sources across the district.
The meeting focused on the persistent water challenges facing several communities and explored practical interventions to address water shortages, particularly in underserved areas.
Among the areas highlighted were Kijura and Kibasi Town Councils, together with Hakibale and Kabende sub-counties, where many residents continue to face limited access to clean and safe water.
The district leadership and WaterAid Uganda emphasized the need for increased investment in water infrastructure, strengthened collaboration among stakeholders, and the implementation of sustainable water supply projects to improve the livelihoods and health of residents.
The engagement reaffirmed the district’s commitment to working closely with development partners to expand access to safe water and ensure that communities most affected by water scarcity receive lasting solutions.
