Journalists working from across Tooro region under their umbrella Tooro Media Practitioners Association TOMPA on Tuesday afternoon visited the Karuziika Royal Palace in Fort Portal City to pay final respects and join mourners in viewing the body of the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV
The team comprised of practitioners from radio, TV, News papers and Digital Online publishers arrived at the palace at 3pm, ushered into the palace to view the body of King Oyo before addressing hundreds of mourners gathered in tents

In a condolence message read by Robert Kiiza of Fort Tv on behalf of TOMPA president Patra Kirungi Kebisembo, journalists and media practitioners praised the late King Oyo Nyimba Rukiidi the IV for having been media friendly and his defense to press freedom. He said the king will be remembered as an approachable, down to earth monarch who actively supported journalists and fought to bridge a gap between the kingdom and the fourth estate
