Fort Portal Tourism City officials have today joined other mourners in mourning the fallen Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
The team was led by the City Production Officer, Muhenda Agaba Patrick, who said the city has resolved that every Tuesday, staff will dress in traditional attire in honour of the fallen King under the theme, City Branding through Culture.
Muhenda commended the late King Oyo for his contribution to the development of Tooro, particularly his efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS, environmental protection and youth empowerment, among other initiatives.
Meanwhile, the City Senior Communications Officer, Stephen Ainganiza, said the city will establish an information hub at the public library where members of the public will access different information about the city and its programs.
Ainganiza added that the city will also organize community dialogues aimed at sensitizing residents on the fight against HIV/AIDS.
