Jubilee Radio 105.6 FM, proudly known as “The Joy of the Family”, is a community-based commercial radio station dedicated to transforming lives through information, education, entertainment, and evangelization.
Jubilee Radio was officially inaugurated on 12th April 2014. The idea of establishing a diocesan radio station dates back several years and was unanimously resolved during the 3rd Diocesan Synod in July 2011. The station was founded as part of the celebrations marking 50 years of faith in the Fort Portal Diocese.
Jubilee Radio is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Fort Portal under the Social Communications Commission. As a church-founded radio station, it serves as the voice of the diocese, evangelizing families and communities through meaningful and values-based programming.
Jubilee Radio covers the districts of Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, Kasese, Kyegegwa, and parts of Rubirizi, Bushenyi, Kanungu, Kibaale, Masindi, and Mubende. Recent audience research estimates a listenership of approximately 2 million listeners, with continued growth expected.
