Avoid Being the ‘Living Dead’ – Christians Told

The body of late Josephine Businge the Parish chief Ruteete has finally been laid to rest at her husband’s home in Bwenderwa Kigarama

Her burial Ceremony that took place yesterday September 5, began with requiem Mass that was presided over by Fathers Christopher Kankya, Moses Mutangirizi and other Clergy, amidst wails and sobs from mourners who included her family, friends, politicians and other dignitaries.

Throughout his homily, Fr.Mutangirizi the Bukwali Parish Priest praised the late Josephine for her strong belief in God untill her final breath.

Reflecting on the shocking demise of Businge, Mutangirizi called upon mourners to desist from being living dead but follow her example since she  recieved sacraments of  Baptism, Confirmation and holy matrimony which confirms that she safely rested in the hands of God.

He further explained earthly acts that portray the concept of living dead including terrorism, witchcraft and failure to believe in God, saying that persons in the contemporary world have adapted to them forgetting the pure death with hope of resurrection.

We the living are requested to keep prepared for death since no one is sure of their day. Josephine went through a lot of pain as a cancer patient, but even on her deathbed she still trusted and prayed to God. This implies that she was prepared for her day and as a firm believer she hopes to resurrect in glory with Christ. Noted Fr.Mutangirizi

In his Eulogy on behalf of the bereaved family, Rev.Fr.Joseph Amanyire Bikongotero, the brother to Patrick Ategeka the Widow, hailed Businge for persisting the pain of cancer which finally claimed her life.

Bikongotero, explained that the late battled advanced cancer which she couldn’t survive in a period of about four months.

Patrick Ategeka, who with his late wife are survived by five Children, lauded mourners for turning up in big numbers to condole with the family in the most trying moment.

He described his wife as not only her partner, but a sister and best friend who loved peace and education and was developmental in nature. He also stated that by her death, Josephine had successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration awaiting graduation in December

Born in I988 February, Josephine Businge has passed on at the age of 35.

May her Soul Rest in Peace.
