The Bishop of Fort Portal Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki, has officially launched the Diocesan Education Week, during which all Catholic schools in the Diocese will participate in a series of organized activities.
The launch was made yesterday during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Holy Trinity Bisozi Catholic Parish where the Bishop called upon all schools to actively engage in the planned events throughout the week.
He further explained that the Education Week will be held under the theme: “As Catholic-Founded Education Institutions, Let Us Journey Together with Hope in Communion, Participation, and Mission Alive in Christ”a theme that aligns closely with the Jubilee Year of Hope.
Pilgrimage and Retreat
Mr. Aloysius Rujumba, the Diocesan Education Secretary, noted that all headteachers of Catholic institutions, along with invited guests, will convene at Virika for the official celebrations. The program will include exhibitions showcasing the implementation of the new curriculum in both primary and secondary schools.
