Believers of St. Peters catholic church Biguli are over the moon after attaining their own parish yesterday October 30, 2022, in a function led by Bishop Robert Muhiirwa- Ordinary of Fort Portal in Biguli town council.
St. Peter’s Biguli became operational with 36 outstations,which were relinquished from Bisozi catholic parish, that reportedly was composed of over 75 out stations.
Christians excited over the new Parish
Christians revealed that getting their own parish will effectively save them from trekking long distances to obtain parish services. They further lauded the Bishop together with pastoral committee for elevating them to the status of Parish

His Lordship Robert Muhirwa Akiiki, the day’s main celebrant who at the same time led the parish inauguration, requested Christians from both parishes Bisozi and the newly born St. Peters catholic parish to collaborate with Fr. George William Baguma the pioneer parish priest St. Peters, Fr.Deo Mulinda the curate and the rest of Christians for the common good of their parish.
Other distinguished guests present for the inauguration, included Hon. Minister Frank Tumwebaze, Hon.Minister Victoria Businge Rusoke, Hon.Sylvia Baheraire,Miss Jovita Owoyesigire among others.
St.Peter’s catholic Parish, becomes the newest parish after Kicuucu Parish, and the 33rd of the parishes in the diocese.
