Bishop Robert Muhiirwa, Chairman of the Health Commission for the Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), emphasized the importance of government collaboration with faith-based health organizations to enhance medical services across Uganda.
He made these remarks during the opening of the two-day Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) Annual Health Assembly, held at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Ndeeba.

The assembly, organized under the theme “Leveraging technology and innovation to enhance and sustainably deliver quality patient-centered health care in the Catholic health network,” attracted clergy, medical professionals, and community leaders.
Bishop Muhiirwa, also the Bishop of Fort Portal Diocese, emphasized the need for shared decision-making between healthcare providers and patients.
He expressed deep gratitude to various partners who have tirelessly supported healthcare efforts within the Catholic Health Network.
Dr. Sam Orach, Executive Secretary of UCMB, underscored the need for self-evaluation within the Church’s healthcare services and highlighted the role of technology in improving healthcare delivery.
He encouraged the adoption of modern tools to enhance service efficiency.
