The Bishop of Fort Portal catholic diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Muhiirwa has asked the public to always drink boiled water.
While speaking during the handover of water, sanitation hygiene infrastructure to people of Nyakeera landing site and Kyendangara in Mahyoro town council I Kitagwenda district, Bishop Muhiirwa said that people should drink boiled water to avoid diseases like cholera, typhoid among others.
Healso asked them to always sleep under treated mosquito nets as one way of fighting the spread of malaria.
He advised them to eat a balanced diet to boost their immune system.
However, he warned them against promoting alcoholism rather invest in educating their children for a better future.
