Brig. Phillip Mugarura the Coordinator Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Rwenzori Region has warned people in this region against divisionism but promote unity of a purpose.
Brig. Mugarura says the people should not divide themselves in ideology on issues basing on cultural, political and social aspects that disunite people of Rwenzori.
He tasks Kabarole Research Center KRC to make thorough research on issues that disunite Rwenzori Region and find means of maintaining the current unity.
The Senior UPDF officer was speaking to RDCs, CAOs, OWC officials, Civil society Organization members in a meeting organized by KRC held at Kalya Courts.
His remarks come ahead of the 2021 general elections.
Patrick Muzinduki from KRC realizes the need for the National Dialogue team to conduct more dialogues and awareness on political and governance matters under multiparty system if governance to avoid election divisionism.
