Emulating St. Joseph the Worker
The Holy Mass, was presided over by Msgr. Isaiah Mayombo Adyeri, Vicar General of the Fort Portal Diocese, who in his homily, encouraged the brothers to remain true to their vocation, emphasizing their key mission as witnesses to the Gospel. He also called on them to embody the virtues of St. Joseph, responsibility, patience amid challenges, obedience, and commitment to their daily work.
Msgr. Mayombo also addressed government leaders present, urging them to invest in the young generation through infrastructure development and hands-on Skilling institutions, to better prepare them for a competitive future. Looking ahead to the 2026 general elections, he appealed for peaceful campaigns and a calm electoral process among those intending to stand at different positions.
Brother John Mumbere, who professed his perpetual vows, expressed gratitude to their parents, the congregation’s leadership, their formators, and all well-wishers who supported them on their journey. He asked for continued prayers as they deepen their commitment to God’s call.
Incomplete Chapel
The Superior General of BSJW, Rev. Bro.Eugine Bwambale Africano, who also marked 25 years of religious life, attributed the successful chapter to God and the dedication of previous leaders.
He highlighted the ongoing challenge of completing the chapel at Saaka Novitiate and called for fundraising efforts to support its construction, as the congregation continues to grow.
