Bunyangabu District Council Passes 29 Billion 2025/26 FY Budget

Bunyangabu District Council has on Tuesday passed a 29 billion Shillings 2025/2026 Financial Year Budget, with education and sports department taking the biggest portion of 10,082,714,000 Shillings.

 

The Secretary for Finance, Planning and Administration who doubles as the Kibiito Sub County female councilor, Amina Kaija Kabaikya says the coming budget will focus of education and sports (UGX 10,082,714,000), production and marketing ( UGX 9,915,870,000) and health services (UGX 4,807,327,000).

 

 

According to Ms Amina Kaija, water and community based services (excluding Youth Livelihood programs and UWEP) have been given smaller allocations of UGX 704,836,000 and UGX 152,677,000 respectively.

She further says that councilors and the entire political wing of the district is now tasked with ensuring that the money is spent on planned activities in order to benefit the wanayinch.

 

 

In his address to the council, James Ategeka Mugarama the Bunyangabu District Chairperson implored representatives and technocrats to keenly follow the district work plan and focus on delivering better services to the electorates.

 

 

The district is currently running on a 30 billion budget for the 2024/2025 fiscal year that is slated to end on 31 June.
