The LCV chairperson Bunyangabu district, James Ategeka Mugarama, has tasked government schools to maintain buildings well in order to promote quality education.
While monitoring schools that were given buildings under SFG project, Mugarama noted that it is unfortunate that government structures are time and again neglected which affects the aspect of sustainability.
He added proper care and maintenance of these buildings, yields quality education for pupils in the end.
“It is unfortunate when such facilities are commissioned but within a short period you find the building in a terrible state,” he said.
According to the District education officer Bunyangabu [DEO], Moses Sunday Rubale, the district is grateful to the government for constructing such facilities .
Rubaale, asked Head Teachers to make proper use of such wonderful structures by acquiring good grades.
“Let us not only come here to commission buildings that will not yield tangible results make use of them to teach children well and they pass,” he said.
The inspected schools, include Kyeya Primary school, St Francis Rwengwara Ps and Kyakatabazi Ps.
