Residents of Nyakigumba town concil in Bunyangabu district are in shock after finding the body of a mother hanging on an avacado tree, three days after her son took poison.
Information at hand shows that the boy, about 13 years old, who had just completed primary school from St. Jude primary school in Fort Portal Tourism City, allegedly misplaced her aunt’s memory card.
And after being threatened to find it by all means, he went and bought rat poison and took it. He was later found lying on ground and rushed to hospital but later died. He was buried on Friday.
Her mother, identified as Evelyn Kemigisa then swore to commit suicide. She was put under minimal supervision until she escaped from her house on Sunday morning and hanged herself on a neighbor’s ovacado tree.
