As they mark the first day of holy week, Christians have been advised to be innovative by thinking of new ideas because that is what the world needs currently.
The appeal, has been made by Rev. Fr Charles Oyo the Fort Portal diocesan coordinator, in his homily to hundreds of congregants who had gathered at St.Charles Lwanga Town Parish, to observe palm Sunday.
Fr. Oyo, also warned Christians on the contradictions in life particularly minding the difference between what they say and do. He adds that there are no short cuts in life therefore every success must be worth the hard work.
Citing an example of the recent Former Speaker Jacob Oulanya‘s death, he noted the dissatisfaction of humanity as evidenced from exaggerated sums of money asked by the leaders for their own consumption rather than mourning the dead.

Fort Portal diocese is meanwhile soliciting UgX1billion to aid in the preparations for a successful day after two years of Uganda Martyrs day being celebrated scientifically.

The holy Father Pope Francis, on this day challenged Christians to forgive each other as they journey towards Easter.
Let us journey toward Easter with his forgiveness. For Christ constantly intercedes for us before the Father. Gazing upon our violent and wounded world, he never tires of repeating: Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.
