Leaders in Fort Portal city are crying fault after DAJ communications fails to fulfill the Memorandum of understanding for painting of Mpanga market.
DAJ communications last year agreed with Fort Portal city authorities to re-paint Mpanga market with MTN colors and logos in exchange of 20 million annual pay and 6 million to renovate the toilets at the market however up to now, nothing has been done.
Richard Muhumuza, mayor central division says that the toilets at the market are in a sorry state despite the MOU with DAJ on the issues, adding that even the 20 million annual fees has not been paid even up to now.
Muhumuza, has said he written to the city mayor to intervene into the matter so that if DAJ declines to fulfill terms of the MOU, MTN colors and logos are scratched off.
Ronnie Kyomuhendo, manager DAJ communications however acknowledged there are normal delays but there has been commitment by MTN to fulfill the payments.
