The Ministry of Education and Sports has officially confirmed the release date for the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results.
In an internal memo dated January 17, 2024, signed by Irene Kauffman, reference was made to a prior memo from January 12, 2024, inviting recipients to a briefing and the official release event for the 2023 PLE results at State House Nakasero.
Ms. Kauffman, the senior private secretary to the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, announced that the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will conduct a briefing on the 2023 PLE results on Wednesday, January 24, followed by the official release of the results on Thursday, January 25, both at State House Nakasero.
It’s noteworthy that UNEB typically releases PLE results before January 20, except for the 2019 results, released in July due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and the 2022 results, which were released on January 27, reportedly due to the Minister’s busy schedule.
