The Mainstream Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), under the leadership of Jack Sabitti and Robert Centenary, has kicked off a new grassroots mobilization drive in Western Uganda while also seeking paths for reconciliation and unity.
Robert Centenary, who is the Vice Chairperson for Western, stated that the faction’s goal is to boost party support and promote unity among its members.
At a meeting held at the former FDC Fort Portal City Mp aspirant Ajuna Daka’s residence in Bukwaali, Fort Portal City, strategies for revitalizing party support were discussed.
Jack Sabiiti, the Party Chairperson, highlighted that despite backing coalition efforts among opposition parties for political change, some individuals face frustration, believing they are the sole champions of this cause.
Sabitti stressed the faction’s dedication to grassroots mobilization, beginning with engaging district and sub-county leaders. He emphasized the importance of preventing conflicts among top leaders from undermining the party’s reputation and goals.
