After several attempts to engage leaders on the broken-down bridges have yielded fruitless, residents of Fort-portal tourism city are currently organizing a peaceful demonstration over the same.
The two bridges along Mpaga River with one connecting Fort-portal Regional Referral Hospital to Kampala highway while another one connects Mpanga main market to Kamwenge stage are in devastating state.
According to traders and residents, the leaders have been adamant about the bridges hence considering a peaceful demonstration before people start drowning in the waters.
They said that patients and elders who come from the hospital in search of food and other essentials from the market are the most at risk population.
It should be remembered that the same news item was published on Jubilee radio airwaves last week although local leaders have taken it for granted.
