The Bishop of Fort Portal catholic diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki, has on Friday February 17, 2023, launched the three diocesan revised policies.
The launched policies include the education policy, Finance & accounting policy and human resource policy.
Launched policies to guide office bearers on their duties
While launching the policies and handing them over to the concerned people at St. Adolf Ongoing Formation Center Mukabura in Fort Portal city, Bishop Muhiirwa said that the revised policies are meant to give them guidance in what they are doing in their respective offices.
Bishop Muhiirwa, further argues that they have done this to challenge the office bearers give prior accountability in their respective offices, and principals to adhere as they carry out different activities regarding the office of education, finance & accounting and human resource.

Giving an example of Education policy, Bishop Muhiirwa said that no one is supposed to come up anyhow to start up a school but the policy should guide them.
“What is in the revised education policy is also based on education act 2008 as well as in line with the teaching of the church,” Said Bishop Muhiirwa.
He adds that the revision is supposed is supposed to give them efficiency to increase their performance and productivity.
The other notable function, is such that the policies will to help in clarity on the coming years in education, in interactions in different personnel, accounting for finances in the diocese.
