The Fort Portal regional Referral Hospital in Buhinga Fort Portal City, FPRRH, has refuted allegations circulating on social media about an Anthrax case at the hospital.
According to the Hospital Principal administrator, Michael Odur, they have a case of a 14 year old girl who was brought from Bunyangabu and admitted at the facility with similar signs and symptoms of Anthrax which they have not confirmed.
“We request the public to stay calm as we await the outcomes of the samples collected from the 14 year old, that have been taken to the Uganda Research institute in Kampala for tests.” Noted Odur
