The Rwenzori west police have last week sanctioned files of over 50 suspected wrong doers who have reportedly been terrorizing the community through stealing their property.
According to Vincent Twesige,the Rwenzori West police spokesperson, 99 people were arrested and 54 aligned to court in a one week operation.
“The majority that were arrested were picked from dark spots of Kitembe,Kobile, Total petrol station, Kisenyi and red house in Mpanga market.” Noted Twesige.
He added that police arrested them alongside 40 bags of opium and other stolen property.

Twesige further noted that in the very operation, security managed to get a hint on some suspects expected to be behind the recent murders in Fort Portal where three people were killed in a week.
He has further stated that the operations are continuing until the end of festive season.
