Ugandans for Peace Project Launched to Ensure Peaceful 2026 Elections

Meanwhile, The Kabarole Research Center, in partnership with Creations Forum Africa and the Women International Peace Center, has launched the “Ugandans for Peace” project, aiming to ensure peaceful elections in 2026.

At the inception meeting held yesterday at New Fort View Hotel in Fort Portal, Mugarra mentioned that the program will identify, monitor, and report issues related to political violence. It will also ensure that political actors, including security agencies, commit to a non-violent electoral process and peace.
