As moslems world over unified to celebrate EID AL-FITR today, Muslins in Fort Portal Fort Portal have been tasked to prioritize unity for Development.
In his message during the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at the Fort Portal main mosque, the district kadhi Tooro Muslim district, Uganda Muslim supreme council Abdul Hakim emphasized the importance of unity, peacemaking, and security awareness among Muslims.
He urged the Muslim community to prioritize unity and set aside personal and individual differences, as this would promote development among them.
Muslims further reminded of security Cautious
Regarding security, Kadhi Abdul highlighted the significance of peace and security in fostering development and encouraged Muslims to be vigilant, particularly in their places of work and worship. He advised them to be cautious of strangers and report any suspicious activities.
Kadhi Abdul, who commended the President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Museveni for signing the Islamic bank into law, encouraged Muslims to embrace a culture of saving through utilizing the bank.
He urged them to continue their acts of kindness and generosity, which they had displayed during the month of Ramadan, by helping the needy.
Linda Irene, the MP Fort Portal city, who also attended the prayers, encouraged Muslims to embrace government programs like PDM to eradicate poverty in their homes.
She urged them to work together with the government to improve their lives and those of their communities.
