The mock exams for primary seven candidates in Fort Portal Tourism City, have ended successfully .
By yesterday all the 34 examination centers had confirmed the closure of this exercise.
According to Amos Kahuma Isamba, the head teacher Kitumba primary school, doubling as secretary for academics in Fort Portal city, only a few candidates out of the 3360 candidates that registered for PLE, failed to turn up for mock exams in some schools.
The candidates, started the exams on Monday with mathematics in the morning, which was followed by Social Studies in the afternoon, whereas they completed with Science in the morning and English on Tuesday afternoon.
Supervision of exams
Kahuma, reveals that 136 invigilators were deployed by Fort Portal education department to invigilate the exams in 34 centers.
The 6 monitors deployed, comprised of, inspectors of schools and education officers who were also on ground to ensure the conduct of exams goes on smoothly.
According to Kahuma, the marking of mock exams will commence on 15th and end on 19th of August 2022. The results will reportedly be released on Monday 22nd of August 2022.
He highlights the forth coming workshop for all primary teachers, to take place on August 26,2022, where they will as well analyse the exams results.
Pupils who missed
Meanwhile, Kahuma calls upon parents whose children missed mock exams, to resend them to school for Uneb exams that is anticipated in November this year.
Further to him, local council one chairpersons are called upon to galvanize children who are hiding in villages, to go back to schools and complete their primary level.
Kahuma, challenged parents to work with school heads to ensure children get better education.
