Ibanda police records at least 16 cases of Child neglect daily since
the start of the year.
This was revealed by the Ibanda district community liaison officer Francis Nyongyera in an exclusive interview with our reporter.
Nyongyera says women accuse their husbands of neglecting their duties,
leaving the children at the mercy of their mothers who at times do not work.
He says this has increased domestic violence among families in the district and has further appealed to men to produce children they can afford to take care of, to avoid quarrels that end up in cruel fights.
