Imagine Her, a non-governmental organization, has launched a social enterprise and Innovation program that seeks to accelerate the power and potential of women, girls, and youth as active leaders and social entrepreneurs who create sustainable solutions within their communities.
According to Nathan Okiror the Executive Director Imagine Her, they have provided accessible young vulnerable women and youth with robust innovation skills and essential resources to create sustainable social ventures and social impact.
Okiror says they have implemented a human-centered impact model in Sub-Counties of Harugongo, Kicwamba, Rutete and Kasenda Sub Counties where they equipped over 80 youths with the skills they need to respond to the most critical challenges they face and also gave them 3.7million each to boost their businesses in agriculture, innovations among others.
Handing over the Cheques to the beneficiaries at a ceremony held at Youth Encouragement Services, Richard Rwabuhinga the Kabarole district Chairperson commended Imagine Her organization for addressing challenges of unemployment that affects the youths in this country.
Rwabuhinga called for patience among the youths, have a positive mindset towards work, financial discipline to manage their businesses, ensure customer care, and love for their ventures
