Joshua Kagaba Head-teacher Kabarole Adventist Secondary School Has Warned Teacher’s Disobeying SOP’s.

By Kabooha B Augustine Achaali.

Joshua Kagaba the head-teacher Kabarole Adventist Secondary School has warned teachers disobeying Standard Operating Procedures after schools reopened amidst increasing covid-19 pandemic.

His concerns follow the arrest of seven teachers in Fort-portal and Kabarole district who were arrested On Thursday by the RDC during operations in schools

According to Joshua Kagaba preventing the spread of covid-19 in schools is everyone’s responsibility especially teachers hence advising them to act exemplary to students and pupils as they continue operating.

The President of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in his last state of the nation address about covid-19 pandemic announced that schools will reopen today the 15th October 2020 six months after closure.

He said they will be allowed to reopen in a phased manner beginning with candidate classes of P.7, S.4, S.6 and finalists in higher institutions of learning provided they adhere to covid-19 preventive measures.

The arrested teachers were picked from Kahungabunyonyi primary school, Fins Medical University, Fort-portal Islamic secondary school and Kabarole Adventist Secondary school. They were locked up at Kagote police post in West division Fort-portal on charges of failing to adhere to covid-19 measures

The RDC Stephen Asiimwe told reporters that the same operations are going to continue not only in schools but also in other places like churches and mosques, markets among others to ensure Standard Operating procedures are implemented
