The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Tooro Kingdom, Henry Basaliza, has yesterday officially inaugrated the preparations and celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Jubilee Radio, with a contribution of 2 million shillings towards the cause.
During the launch event broadcast on Jubilee Radio, Basaliza extended congratulations to the station for its decade of service, highlighting its contributions to employment spiritual growth, among Ugandans, informing and educating people among others.
About Jubilee Radio
Rev. Fr. Ronald Musinguzi, the current managing director of Jubilee Radio, recounted the station’s inception on April 12, 2014, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Rwamwenge Adyeeri, followed by Rev. Fr. Joseph Musana and Rev. Fr. Fredrick Douglas Waako.
Fr. Musinguzi announced that the primary preacher for the anniversary crusade would be Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bashobora from Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province, supported by other priests such as Rev. Fr. Kaahwa George William from Hoima Catholic Diocese and Fr. Stash Birungi from Fort Portal Catholic Diocese.
The theme of the jubilee crusade, will center around Luke 17:15, emphasizing the significance of increasing faith in God.
About 24 million required for preparations
Patrick Ategeka, the chairperson of the organizing committee for the celebrations, disclosed that the festivities would commence with a grand crusade from April 18th to 21st at St. Adolf Ongoing Formation Centre in Mukabura.
Ategeka outlined various activities planned for the celebrations, including a health camp, among others, estimating a budget of over 24 million shillings for the event.
He urged listeners to support the cause and noted that a nominal entrance fee of 2000 shillings would be charged at the gate to help fund the function.
