The management of Jubilee radio and staff have on Monday evening bidded farewell to their longtime chaplain the Rev. Fr. Christopher Kankya Amooti following his transfer to Kyenjojo district
Fr. Kankya the outgoing chief priest of Bukwali catholic parish which covers parts of Fortportal city and Kabarole district has been acting as Radio chaplain and spiritual director since 2014.
During the send-off dinner and cutting of the cake held at the radio offices along Mugurusi road in Fortportal, the staff appreciated Kyankya for nurturing them spiriually.
The company director the Rev. Fr. Frederick Dauglas Waako noted that Fr. Kankya has been a miracle to the Radio in terms of soliciting support from christians.
Members of staff speaker after speaker described the outgoing chaplain as down to earth, loving, parent, teacher and above all many said he’s a roll model to the young generation.
As Jubilee radio station chaplain Fr. Kankya has served under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Rwamwenge 2014-2016, Rev. Fr. Joseph Musana 2016-2019 and Rev. Fr. Frederick Waako the current managing director Jubilee radio the joy of the family.
Staff extended appreciation to him and requested him to uphold the love for the radio in Butunduzi catholic parish where he’s going to be serving as parish priest.
