Jubilee Radio Seeks 13m to Secure a Band Pass Filter

The Band Pass Filter

The Ordinary of Fort Portal doubling as the Patron of Jubilee Radio, Rt. Rev. Bishop Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki,
has earlier this week launched the fundraising drive for the radio band pass filter [BPF] worth 13 Million shillings.
The launch of the BPF, took place on Monday 3, 2022, during morning holy Mass at the radio premises, Mugurusi road Fort Portal city.
The Band Pass Filter
His lordship Muhiirwa during the launch, thanked Christians for their genuine support towards securing modern equipment for the station, but asked them to continue with the same spirit to attain the band pass filter.
“We request you dear listeners not to get tired of supporting your radio having recently bough the 4th Microphone for the studios of Jubilee radio. Do not despise the little you have but rather feel free to give it in, for one by one makes a bundle.” Remarked Bishop Muhiirwa.
About the band pass filter
According to Electrical 4 U, a company that deals with electrical equipment, A band pass filter (also known as a BPF or pass band filter) is defined as a device that allows frequencies within a specific frequency range and rejects (attenuates) frequencies outside that range
Technician view on BPF
Francis Muhenda the technical director Jubilee Radio, explained that the band pass filter is a requirement from Uganda Communications Commision –UCC, Since it protects the radio frequency from any  interference from other frequencies.
Muhenda, further explained that  the current band pass filter has depreciated over time, which has made other radio frequencies intrude into the Jubilee radio frequency .
“We have had enough reports from our dear listeners who try to tune in  to our radio via our frequency 105.6, but end up listening to other stations. This is unfair especially for instance those who would not want to miss our unique programs like daily mass and others. We thus request for unity in securing the needed 13 million Shillings to settle this issue” Said Muhenda.
Fr. Ronald Musinguzi, the managing director Jubilee, lauded the immense support exhibited by the listeners in all aspects, and requested for the same unity in securing the same funds.
The managing director,  requested Christians to utilize this month of Mother Mary to render support and pray for the Success of this cause. He also revealed that the Christians have so far gathered about 800,000 shillings via his line to support the cause.
How to support
According to Fr.Musinguzi, any willing person can send their contribution via his mobile money numbers below as registered in the names of Fr.Ronald Musinguzi.
MTN- 0777277043
Airtel- 0757325825
Alternatively people are fee to physically bring their contributions to the Jubilee radio premises at the reception.
