Police in Kabale is holding a 64-year-old mother and her two daughters for allegedly stealing a 2 month old baby girl.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesman identified the three as Margret Kabazigurukana, 64, Doreen Kyampaire, 29, and Oliver Kyasimire, 20.
Maate says on 9th September while at Butorane village, in Buhara sub county Kabale district, Oliver Kyasimire who had arrived from Lyantonde went to check on one of her relatives Doreen Twakyire.
While there, Kyasimire is said to have asked to take a walk with Doreen’s baby to the shop but after a while, Doreen got suspicious as Kyosiimire was not returning.
Upon rushing to Kyosimire’s home, they found the latter had left with her mother Margret Kabazigurukana and the baby to Lyantonde district.
Police is investigating to establish the reason the two decided to steal the baby.
