Kabarole Health Facilities are reportedly operating without drugs thus forcing nurse to prescribe drugs for patients to go and buy in pharmacies.
Richard Rwabuhinga the district Chairperson, says many health center IIs, IIIs are operating without drugs which he says it’s a big shame and embarrassing as many patients have started abusing and ridiculing this government.
Rwabuhinga, is however quick to add that as leaders, they have for long been tasking National Medical Stores to deliver drugs but in vain.
Rusoke Rugaaju, the In charge Kidubuli Health Center III, confirmed that all essential drugs such as paracentamols, anti-malarial among others are out of stock.
At Kijura Health Center III, a Nurse who preferred enormity said yesterday that they last received drugs in September last year and currently they are prescribing drugs to patients for them to buy in pharmacies which is ironical as some cry they don’t have money.
Flavia Kobusinge, a resident of Kicuna who was found at Kidubuli Health Center narrated that the nurses after diagnosing her of malaria, told her to go and buy the drugs from a pharmacy.
Meanwhile Dr. Kalyegira Stephen, the DHO Kabarole, says the National Medical store has promised to deliver drugs soon.
