Wife To Kigarama Catechist Killed, Dumped In Bush

Kabooha

Panic and grief has engulfed the people of Kabende Sub-county in Kabarole district, after a man killed his wife.

The deceased, has been identified as Libinia Musimenta 35, and the killer doubling as her husband, Daniel Mubangizi according to the residents of Kanyabuhuka Village, Masongora Parish, Kabende Sub County.

The incident

It is alleged that on Friday night  February 24 2022, the two developed yet to be ascertained misunderstandings until Mubangizi grabbed a hoe and hit Musimenta on the head killing her instantly.

According to the chairperson LC 1 Kanyabuhuka Village, the killer is still on the run and in hiding but the police and local authorities are still hunting for him.

Speaking to our reporter and locals, the chairperson LC3 Kabende James Katusabe, consoled the families and asked the people of Kabende not to take the law in their hands by attacking the suspects family members, killing them and destroying their property, but rather observe peace.

He asked them to let the killer serve his own punishment when arrested as engaging in mob activity will throw them into unwanted trouble.

The OC Kabende,  Afande Obonyo, also advised the people to avoid revenge but submit information that would help police arrest Daniel.

He said people should only complain if the police fail to do so according to its mandate. He however discouraged mob justice in this case.

The deceased’s body was still lying at Fort Portal regional referral hospital mortuary pending postmortem by press time
