Kabarole district has laid a 29.7bn budget estimates for the financial year 2026/2027 with health, education and administration estimated to get the highest share.
According to Dr. Richard Rwabuhinga the District Chairperson, Health will be allocated 6.2bn, Education 9bn, Roads 1.8bn, water 574m, Production 1.9bn, Natural Resources 502m, Community Based Services 311m, Administration 7.6bn, Finance 292 among other sectors.
Speaking during the district council sitting presided over by Hon Timothy Ruhweza the District Speaker at Kitumba Headquarters, Rwabuhinga highlighted that next year’s budget will be highly constrained due to the effects of covid 19 pandemic on the economy.
Rwabuhinga called for financial discipline in mobilization and utilization of the limited resources which will be the basis for success in implementing the budget proposals for the year.
Hon. Murungi Musobozi Nobel the District Councilor Rutete tasked the newly elected Members of parliament to intensify lobbying of funds to have the budget fulfilled and implemented as planned.
