Residents of Kamengo, Kijura, Kabende, Busoro in Kabarole District held a peaceful demonstration over the poor state of Fort portal-Kujura-Kabende-Sogahi road.
The residents said that now they find it difficult to use the road especially during this rainy season and vowed to hold a violent demonstration if the responsible people do not come and work on the road.
The residents also blamed their area Members of Parliament for not caring about the current bad state of the road. It should be remembered that President directed the Ministry of Works to tarmac the road but up to now nothing has since been done.
Speaking to the residents, Ruhweza Timothy the District Speaker Kabrole said that many people have been involved in accidents due to bad state of the road and called upon the Uganda National Roads Authority-UNRA to come and work on the road.
