With just a few weeks after the start of the 2024 academic year, Hon Frank Rwiragira the Councilor representing People with Disabilities Kabarole district has decried the increasing defilement cases and school dropouts in communities hence warning LC1s against collaborating with the defilers.
He was speaking during the meeting with PTA, School Management Committee Members and Head teachers of 23 schools under the Kigarama Coordination Center held at Rutete Sub county Headquarters yesterday.
Richard Rwabuhinga the District Chairperson Kabarole tasked the members to advocate for children education by fighting school dropouts, early forced marriages, absenteeism among others.
Rwabuhinga called on the PTA and SMC committees to ensure strict supervision on schools and accountability of the assets of the school.
He tasked them to always levy PTA fees that are manageable to the parents to deter defaulting saying many parents fail to pay school fees because it’s too much for them
