Foot pilgrims from the Fort Portal Catholic Diocese have yesterday commenced their Novena in preparation for the upcoming Katoosa celebrations.
Every year on January 27, the Diocese commemorates St. Adolf Tibeyalirwa at the Katoosa Catholic Martyrs Shrine, located in Katoosa Parish, Kyenjonjo District, where thousands from far and wide gather to seek the Intercession of their own.
Ajuna Acleo, the Vice Guild President of the Uganda Martyrs’ Fort Portal Catholic Diocese, shared that participants will be guided through the Glorious Mysteries, the Litany of Martyrs, and the Hymn of the Holy Spirit during the pilgrimage.
Ajuna emphasized that the pilgrimage calls for earnest prayer and fasting to make the spiritual journey truly meaningful.
The vice guild, further mentioned that all pilgrims will gather at Bukwali Parish and, on the morning of January 24, will begin their journey to Katoosa.
