MTN Uganda, a telecommunications company, has earlier today paid a courtesy call to the King of Tooro, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who praised the company for its valuable partnership with the kingdom.

The good relationship between the Tooro Kingdom and MTN, has notably enhanced the lives of Tooro’s residents through various initiatives in sports, education, and health.

During a meeting at Karuziika Palace in Fort Portal City with MTN Uganda CEO Sylvia Mulinge and her leadership team, Omukama Oyo expressed his appreciation for MTN’s sponsorship of annual Masaza football and bicycle races, asking for further support in the same field.
He highlighted that these sporting events have promoted healthy living, developed sports talent, and increased HIV/AIDS awareness in the region.
This acknowledgment comes as the Tooro Kingdom and MTN Uganda prepare for the third edition of the Tooro Kingdom MTN Masaza Cup, set to commence at the end of the month. CEO Sylvia Mulinge thanked Omukama Oyo for his exceptional leadership and dedication to improving the lives of Tooro’s people, reaffirming MTN’s commitment to supporting the kingdom’s transformative initiatives.
