Police in Kisoro are hunting for Gerald Ndikumukiza for allegedly cutting to death his four relatives.
Ndikumukiza, a resident of Kageyo village Busengo Parish Nyarubuye
sub county in Kisoro district murdered his
mother Bonconsira Nyiraguhirwa, his wife Mariserina Mujawimana, his
father Deogratious Sebutama and
Joan Nyiramahoro, the wife of his elder brother George Habyaremye.
Clever Nsengimana, one of the eyewitnesses said that the gruesome
incident occurred around 9:00 pm yesterday evening September 25,2020.
Nsengimana said that Ndikumukiza who was armed with a panga arrived home yesterday
morning from Masaka where he has been working as a casual laborer with
his brother George Habyaremye, found the deceased at home in the evening and cut them
into pieces.
The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate said that efforts
to trace the suspect are underway and a team of detectives have conducted postmortem of
the deceased at the crime scene.
