The Tooro Kingdom MTN Masaza Cup 2nd Edition has finally come to an end in a thrilling event hosted at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal City.
In the second game played between Kyaka and Mwenge South the finals qualifiers, the defending Champion Kyaka County, failed to defend the trophy after losing to Mwenge South 2-1 following Mukasa Wafula’s double Score in the 1st half.

In the first game where Mwenge North were fighting for the third place , each had a goal in 90 minutes which prompted them to push for penalties.
It’s the penalties that set a better ground for Burahya after Mwenge North lost it by 3-5, sending it direct to the 3rd position.
Mwenge South the champion , had qualified from group A which contained three teams Kitagwenda Kibaale and Mwenge South.
Relatedly , Kyaka had qualified from group B including Kyaka Fort Portal and Mwenge North whereas Group C comprised of Burahya Bunyangabu and Ntoroko.
The winner, Mwenge South walked away with 5million, The Second Kyaka with 2.5 million, Third Burahya a million and Mwenge North bagged 500, 000 from MTN Uganda.
Kyaka Tops in Bicycle Races
Earlier during the day, all first bicycle race winners from both categories, ordinary and Sports, hailed from Kyaka.
Kato William and Ssempija Aziz, who bagged 1 m and 1.5 million Shillings from MTN, attributed the overall success to frequent training.
According to Ssempija, the overall finals were more easy to win due to the constant preparations done in their riders team in Kyaka.
Mulindwa Alvin, last years sports bikes winner who narrowly missed out on the first position today, said that had it not been for the chest pain, he would have retained the first position.
