Kyaka Isaza has emerged victorious in the 4th Edition of the Tooro Kingdom MTN Kabode Masaza Tournament, following a 2-0 win against Fort Portal Isaza in the final match held yesterday at St. Paul’s National Major Seminary Grounds, Kinyamasika, in Fort Portal City.
The match
The exciting match attracted a large crowd of fans from across the Kingdom and was graced by the presence of His Royal Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. He was accompanied by his sister, Princess Ruth Nsemere Komuntale Bateebe Akiiki, along with her husband and son. Other notable attendees included officials from the Kingdom, political leaders, members of the clergy, and other dignitaries.
Kyaka Isaza, the tournament champions, walked away with a cash prize of 12 million shillings, courtesy of MTN Uganda, the main sponsors of the tournament. Fort Portal Isaza secured second place and received 6 million shillings, while Burahya Isaza took third place after defeating Mwenge South 1-0 and earned 4 million shillings. Mwenge South, finishing in fourth place, received 3 million shillings.

In the Netball Championship—the first ever held as part of the Masaza tournament—Fort Portal Girls Netball Team emerged victorious after edging out Mwenge South with a narrow 40–38 win.
Individual awards were also presented, with Anguzu Francis from Kyaka Isaza named Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Malik Yasin from Fort Portal Isaza was recognized as the Most Valuable Player, while Kisaku Jonathan from Kyaka Isaza finished as the tournament’s top scorer, having netted three goals.
Kingdom officials extended their heartfelt appreciation to MTN Uganda for their dedicated sponsorship and support, which ensured the smooth and successful organization of the tournament. They also called for continued collaboration in future editions to further promote sports and unity within the Kingdom.
