The Bishop of Fort Portal Diocese Rt Rev Robert Muhiirwa & Patron St Mary’s Seminary Old Boys Association (SMASOBA) has challenged Old Boys of the Seminary to strive to live by the objective of their association and constitution and foster development in society.
This was contained in a message read by Msgr Peter Kumaraki during the annual general meeting and reunion at St Mary’s Seminary Virika in Fort Portal City on Saturday.
He says through their association SMASOBA, they should strive to uplift their lives and the lives of others, seek more ways of bringing unity so as to make a positive impact on society.
The Bishop, who paid special tribute to members for attending the AGM & reunion, tasked the old boys to begin a new chapter of SMASOBA through seeking more ways of bringing unity and avoid all trends of division along cohorts of all years regardless of being the laity or clergy.

He revealed that currently, the seminary has over 300 students and asked the old boys to support the school in a bid to move forward.
In a unanimous decision, members of the executive have been given mandate for another term with Joseph Mugenyi as President, Fr Richard Bomeera Vice President, Alinaitwe John Secretary,
Fr. Emmanuel Byaruhanga treasurer,
