Mbarara regional referral hospital has registered one more COVID-19 related death, 58 female adult a Congolese refugee from Isingiro district who died at the hospital today morning.
This brings the number of COVID-19 deaths at the referral to 4 since its first confirmed case on 16th May this year.
According to the hospital director Dr. Celestine Barigye, 150 cases have been handled; 109 discharged and 29 are active with 21 receiving treatment from home and 8 at the hospital as of today October 21, 2020.
Nationally, Results of COVID-19 tests done on 20 October 2020 confirm 145 new cases bringing Uganda’s cumulative confirmed cases to 10,933.
One COVID-19 death recorded from Jinja bringing total COVID-19 deaths to 98.
