Cyclists and parents who use motorcycle to carry children to and from school have been cautioned to take road safety precautions seriously.
This has been done, as away of preventing the would be accidents from happening, and protect too the lives of young ones who are looking forward to achieving their personal dreams.
Michael Ahabyona, a parent from Fort Portal says, children’s lives are at risk in the morning and evening while in the hands of Boda boda riders because they ride recklessly.
According to Ahabyona, many have a habit of overloading and over speeding which has endangered many children
The concern, comes at the time when the World education program Bantwana project, is cautioning parents and stakeholders on the safety of children while in and out of schools.

Peter Kusemererwa, the programs manager, says they operate in Kyenjojo, Kabarole and Bunyangabu district trying to ensure a good environment for vulnerable children, from the household to the policy level
