The state minister of trade, Hon Minister Harriet Ntabazi, has called upon Fort Portal city business individuals to jealously safe guard against Ebola which is a possible threat to the economic recovery progress.
Ntabazi, made the remarks on October 28, 2022, while officiating a 2-day trade show established by Stanbic bank at Kabarole Hospital grounds, Fort Portal city.
Stanbic at 160, decides to giveback to community
The trade two-day trade show according to a representative from Stanbic bank Fort Portal,is part of the various activities established by the bank in commemoration of the country’s 60 years of independence and 160 years of the bank’s existence.
He added that Stanbic bank realized that it cannot simply offer basic banking services, a reason it created gap for their clients to showcase their talents and products, and share knowledge on how best they can double their productivity.
In the trade show, all sorts of businesses were entertained, including schools with their respective innovations so as to create platform for people to learn from others but also make sales.
Ntabazi warns on Ebola and economic setback
According to Ntabazi, the country is set to achieve the best in pushing forward trade and City traders must cooperate in fighting any thing that waylays the progress like Ebola.

In the trade show where various schools showcased products, Ntabazi applauded Kyebambe girl’s School for the unique innovation of organic poultry feeds, saying Uganda needs more of their innovation than before.
She promised to bring on board the minister in charge of science and technology to come and approve their innovation.
