In a showcase of beauty, talent, and grace, the Miss Tourism Tooro Region pageant crowned its new Queens for 2025. The highly-anticipated event held over the weekend at Mountains of the Moon Hotel in Fort Portal City saw Queen Lydia Nyakake Abwoli crowned as the Miss Tourism Tooro region
The successful candidates
Queen Lydia Nyakake 21year old, Mutooro by tribe, Muhindakati by clan from Kabarole district of Tooro Kingdom and student at Mountains of The Moon University Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education.
Queen Kahunde Evelyn Amooti aged 19 was crowned 1st Runner up. She’s from Kabarole district, Mutooro by tribe, Mubiitokati by clan of Tooro Kingdom and University Student Pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine.
Queen Kobusinge Janet Adah Abwoli aged 22was crowned 2nd Runner up. She’s is Kyenjojo district, Mutooro by tribe of Tooro Kingdom and pursuing a diploma in Social Worker and Social Administration at Kampala University
About the Event
Miss Tourism Tooro is an annual prestigious regional pageant celebrating the cultural heritage, natural beauty and tourism potential of the Tooro kingdom. The 2025 event ran under the theme: I Am My Culture!! Top three queens now continue their journey towards the national stage where they will vie for Miss Tourism Uganda.
Other contestants included, Nyakato Philomena Abboki a 20 year old Mutooro by tribe from Fort portal city and student at Fort portal college of health sciences, pursuing certificate in pharmacy
Kansiime Edith Akiiki 23year old Mutooro by tribe from Kabarole district and student at Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute Jinja pursuing certificate in Hotel Operations
Mbabazi Jacqueline Abwoli 22 years old is a Mutooro by tribe from Kabarole district and a student at Mountains of the Moon University. Zari Eve Zawadi aged 25, Mutooro by tribe from Fort-portal City and a practicing nurse currently pursuing a Diploma in Clinical Medicine at FINS Medical University
Namara Patrica Esther Akiiki aged 24, a Mutooro by tribe from Kyenjojo district Architectural and Interior Designer by profession
